Team member since Aug 2022, Airframe lead since Aug 2023.
Collaborates with the executive team to set the future trajectory of the club.
Organizes and supports a team of students, with differing experience levels, to design a VTOL (Vertical Take Off and Landing) fixed-wing drone and make refinements to our existing quadcopter drone.
Manages scheduling and prioritization of tasks to ensure that timelines are met.
Manufactures aircraft and parts using technologies such as 3D printing (both FDM & SLA), laser cutting, CNC milling & routing, and vacuum forming.
Creates design tools that allow for easy design iterations to ensure an optimal solution.
Writes design reports to clearly communicate the designed solution for competition.
Mentors the junior members to guide them through design analysis and manufacturing methods.
Coordinates with the other team leads to facilitate integration of electrical and software needs.
Conducts FEA to optimize structural members of the design.

Successfully created and pitched a research project to the head of ADAMS Lab, earning a Dean's Research Award (DRA).
Obtained support from key individuals to facilitate the research project.
Designing and prototyping a new type of passive cooling using a 3D printed ceramic TPMS lattice (gyroid).
Optimizing parameters to control permeability of the ceramic.
Designing an experiment using the scientific method to validate the new passive cooling technology.
Will execute several trials, and clearly articulate the results in a report.
Will present the project at a poster fair in April.

Led a team of 6 through a full design process including requirements setting, conceptual design and detailed design & analysis.
Designed a drone-mounted fire retardant spray system, that is easily field maintainable, easy to manufacture, and minimizes custom parts incase of need for replacement.
Chaired semiweekly standup meetings to check in on team progress and ensure we are on track to meet deadlines.
Corresponded with several industry experts for guidance and consultation during the design analysis.
Conducted structural FEA analysis to ensure the integrity of our design.
Professionally communicated the teams concern with a team members repeated tardiness, and addressed the issue so that it did not persist.

Collaborated with a team of mechanical engineering students to design and prototype a servo operated autonomous torpedo launching system.
Iterated through several designs to achieve a more optimal and reliable solution.
Streamlined the torpedo body to help with hydrodynamic performance.
Tracked progress to ensure build and testing completion before RoboNation’s RoboSub Competition.
